Sherston Senior Club

Sherston Senior Club meets every other Tuesday. 2.30pm to 4.00pm in Summer and 2.00pm start in Winter, in the British School-Room in Cliff Road.

The club has one free outing to Weston-super-Mare in June each year. There are five other outings to various destinations, this year so far they have been to a Garden Centre near Burnham on Sea in March, Coach ride to Minehead and had a ride on the Steam train to Bishop’s Lydiard, in May, Weston Super Mare, in June. To come, A Mystery tour and tea, in August, and a trip to Sidmouth in September and a visit to Moreton-in -Marsh market and Bourton -on-the- Water.in October.In December the club has a Christmas Dinner.

The Club when at “home” has some very interesting speakers and of course the afternoon ends with a cup of tea and social time. The Seniors also have a Spring and Autumn Sale plus a Harvest auction, this enables them to make donations to various Charities. The membership is around fifty at present. The School-room has access for Wheel-chairs and the coaches used for trips are equipped with lifts.

It is a lively and friendly Club and anyone may join, age is no barrier. Membership at present £15.
