On Saturday 21 May Sherston Magna Cricket Club (SMCC), will stage the inaugural Sherston Sixes. An invitation six-a-side cricket tournament and celebration.

The day will start at 12 Noon at the ground in Pinkney Park with a bar and barbecue.The aim of the event is to raise funds for SMCC,whilst entertaining the guest teams and spectators. Teams from the local area have been invited to participate in a competition, which will consist of two leagues playing in a ‘round robin’ format before the top sides from each league play in a knock-out for the winner’s trophy.Each game will be a four over (8 balls per over) per side, ensuring entertaining cricket and a quick result. Spectators are welcome and entry to the ground is free.

The first game will start at 12 Noon and the eventual winners will be presented their trophy after the final game between 6.30pm and 7.00pm.
