On Sunday 19th July 2015, children from Sherston and the surrounding areas will be running, walking, hoping, skipping and some may even be jumping around either a 1K or a 3K route, to raise money for Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group (CCLG).
This fun run is in memory of Thomas (Toti) Worboys who tragically passed away from acute myeloid leukaemia in 2014. Money raised from this event will go to to the family’s chosen charity CCLG, to fund much needed research into this specific cancer.
The run will start at 11am from the Scout Hut at Sherston Recreation Ground; children will have the option of taking part in a 1K run around the Rec or a longer 3K run which extends along the Sopworth Road and back.
Entry costs £5 per runner plus any additional sponsorship which is entirely optional.
To take part in this event register in advance! at www.thomasworboysfunrun.eventzilla.net
You really do need to register prior to the day of the run, 19th July. Please, don’t be disappointed and turn up on the morning without a Runner Number!!
